Retail

Retail

Shops, restaurants, office space, and cafés.

Villebois is unmatched in its commitment to community.

This commitment starts in the Villebois Village Center, the hub of the neighborhood, where a bustling mix of row homes, loft-style condominiums and retail space will embody the character of a European village.

At the heart of the neighborhood, sits Piazza Villebois - a lively plaza and dedicated community space for area residents to sit and enjoy their morning coffee, spend hours chatting with old friends or while away the afternoon on the bocce ball courts. Piazza Villebois will also be a location for popular events such as live musical entertainment, the Villebois Sunday Market and seasonal festivals.

Additionally, if you're in the market to invest in commercial real estate in Wilsonville, Oregon, the Villebois Village Center is the prime location. Soon the neighborhood will have its own hot spots, along with commercial Villebois spaces such as offices, retail shops, restaurants, sidewalk cafés and other conveniences.

And while Villebois retail is being completed, you can find incredible places to eat in Portland, which was recently named one of the country's best restaurant cities by The New York Times. Because Portland is such a short drive or ride away on the WES Commuter Rail, you're always close to everything you want or need.

A Note from Costa Pacific Communities CEO Rudy Kadlub

Rudy Kadlub At Costa Pacific Communities, we have received many questions regarding when the stores, restaurants and other businesses will be coming to the Villebois community.

The reality is: Rome was not built in a day and neither will Villebois.

While retail is a major component when it comes to mixed-use developments like Villebois, the community cannot attract retailers when there are not enough rooftops to support their sales. Even if each of the community’s businesses was given free rent, without enough sales, they could not cover their other overhead, which includes employees, cost of goods, utilities, etc. We have seen this mistake made in the past in other local communities and developments. The results are typically slow lease-up, mostly empty town centers and ultimately, failure for tenants.

At Costa Pacific Communities, our efforts are extensive and sincere when it comes to planning and developing the Villebois community. We will make any reasonable deal that a quality retailer requests. Until the economy responds to the new stimulus package introduced by President Obama, and we sell enough homes, the supply of retailers will be slim.

In the meantime, our efforts at Costa Pacific to build community within Villebois remain undaunted. Through a monthly neighborhood newsletter and our blog, we continually strive to keep Villebois homeowners and the public alike apprised of the latest community news and events, including the Villebois Sunday Market and the homeowner consortium considering opening a coffee shop in the Villebois Village Center.
